FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
Spring
Reflex Change the season, set the sun, breathe some breezes,
see new work.
On Saturday,
March 30, over thirty local artists invite you to Spring
Reflex at the Lunatarium (10 Jay Street in D.U.M.B.O., Brooklyn)
from 2pm-midnight. Spring Reflex is an attempt to celebrate
the arts as a cohesive entity, highlighting ideas and inspiration
as seen through various media. The Lunatarium's open environment
provides the perfect arena for such a collaboration.
Come
enjoy a junkyard of visual art installations including photography,
sculpture, projections, architecture, and surveillance art.
The work of these emerging artists will shape the day-long
extravaganza of arts including musical explorations of the
pop, electronica, and classical variations, as well as performances
by experimental theatre artists and solo performers. The
event will culminate with evening music performances by
Team USA, Swiss Dot, The Somnambulants, and Verbalala. Visual
and performing artists contributing throughout the day include
Susan Benarcik, Keith Biesack, Cristina Hernandez Botero,
Satoru Luke Chayavichitsilp, Gaia Cornwall, Tyler Freidenrich,
Peter Haycock, Myles Kane, Karinne Keithley, Hiromi Kiba,
Jenni Knight, Jason Clay Lewis, Allison Malinsky, Maggie
McBrien, Might Robot A/V Squad, Kristen Miller, Justina
Mintz, Hristina Panovska, Eric Robert Parnes, Julie Rose,
Adam Ruedig, Channing Sargent, Sebastian, Naoko Sumi, Margaret
Timbrell, Clayton Timbrell, John Turner, Nora Wooley, and
Chris Yon.
As the
sun goes down and the bands play on, a journey will have
taken place, not only of individual expression but also
of the exploration of the many shapes, forms, and voices
in which art exists.
Spring
Reflex is being produced by Team Reflex, a core group of
local artists dedicated to this notion of collective art,
and in collaboration with the Lunatarium and the Clairaudience
Collective. For complete artist list, schedule information,
and directions please visit www.clairaudience.com.
All
press calls should be directed to John Del Gaudio at 646.281.2076.
